August 15, 2019 - EP 31: A Conversation With My Mom About All Things Recovery

Uncategorized Aug 15, 2019

Overcoming an eating disorder is no easy task but supporting someone going through it can seem nearly as difficult.

My Mom is joining us this week to help me share both sides of the story on my road to recovery.

We share with you our best tips on how to support someone recovering from an eating disorder. Tips that REGARDLESS of if you are supporting someone with an eating disorder, recovering yourself or even don’t know anyone with an eating disorder, will carry over to how you should be talking to people in everyday life when we remove the focus from the body and how we look to instead focusing on how people feel.

In today's episode my mom and I dive into:
  • 5 tips on how to support someone recovering from an eating disorder
  • What to say or NOT say to people going through recovery
  • The importance of how you feel vs. how you look
