Food For Thought Newsletter March 26, 2021
Mar 26, 2021
You might remember I was doing the Daily Food For Thought email/blog which was a lot of work and didn’t allow me to dedicate the time and energy I needed to myself and my clients.
BUT I really love sharing helpful things with you so let’s try biweekly instead of daily :)
Expect to receive this cool newsletter from me every other week and my new podcast episode announcement email on the weeks you don’t receive the newsletter.
I’m personally really excited about it!
Keep scrolling for my Friday Food For Thought first newsletter, woohoo!
Food /Body Freedom Tip
Don’t think about pink elephants!
You’re thinking about them aren’t you?
Ironic process theory, refers to the psychological process whereby deliberate attempts to suppress certain thoughts make them more likely to surface.Which means by telling yourself things like “don’t eat the cookies” you’re more likely to eat the cookies.
Take an abundance approach to your eating, give yourself permission to eat whatever you want and remove the restriction and thus fixation. Literally saying out loud: “I give myself permission to eat x… do I feel like eating x?”.

Victoria Evans - Food: It's the symptom NOT the problem
A Delicious Recipe
I found this on TikTok and tried it out and omg soooo good! Her account is @hungryhappens and here is the recipe.
Banana Chocolate Chip Bars
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ⅓ cup maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips
(her instructions are in a video format so I’ll try and write it out as best I can)
- Step 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Step 2. Mash bananas in medium sized bowl.
- Step 3. Add in all ingredients except chocolate chips and mix well.
- Step 4. Once well mixed, add in chocolate chips and mix together.
- Step 5. Line square baking pan (I used 9x9inch) with parchment paper and pour mix into pan.
- Step 6. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top just because we can!
- Step 7. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!!!
Client Win To Celebrate
This week I want to celebrate my client Diana, Age 27.
Here is just a small snippet of what she had to say following the completion of my 90 Days to Food Freedom 1:1 Coaching Program
“Before I found Victoria, I was OBSESSED with losing weight and exercise. I was the champion of talking badly about myself and using food to blame all of my problems. I was in a constant and endless cycle of beating myself up for eating “badly” and not exercising enough, or “not deserving”. I was stuck in a rut of hating myself and blaming it all on food.
After working with Victoria, I am milestones away from where I was when I started the program. Victoria gave me the skills and tools to be proactive with my mental health! I am overall better at managing anxiety, I have overcome guilting myself about food and my body.
I discovered so much more about myself than I knew was ever possible! I am so much happier and healthier for it. This was the best decision I could have ever made for myself.
If you’re contemplating investing in this program, just stop and do if! You are investing in yourself and for yourself!
Victoria is always there to push and get you there. I will always be grateful for this program.”
I want to let you know that I’m currently calling in 2 women for my 1:1 coaching program for an April start.
If you’re feeling pulled to change your life, click here to book your 30 minute Blueprint To Freedom Call where we’ll determine the 3 things holding you back from food freedom and assess if you're a good fit for my program.
