Your Food Freedom Tip

I work with a lot of high-achieving women and this is something that comes up quite often...

PERFECTIONISM

"If I am not lovable for who I am, then I will become lovable for what I can do, what I can achieve, and what I can look like."

Perfectionism is addictive because when we experience shame, judgment, and blame (inevitable as humans), we believe it was because we were simply not perfect enough.

This sets us up to feel more shame, judgment, and blame which becomes a cycle.

There are a lot of types of perfectionism that I cover especially in my coaching program but today let's quickly talk about one.

Black and White Thinking

This thinking style involves seeing only one extreme or the other. You are right or wrong, good or bad, and so on. There are no in-betweens or shades of grey.

e.g., “If I eat one cookie then I've ruined my eating and I am a complete failure”.

Sound familiar?

Be on the lookout for this perfectionism type of thinking and call it out when you see it. The first step to change is awareness!

I have specific tools and strategies to break free from black and white thinking as well as all the other 6 types of perfectionism thinking types.

At the root, this is what is currently holding you back from food freedom AND living your best life where you believe you are lovable for who you are (not simply what you can do, achieve and look like).
