Random cool sleep facts:

  1. 12% of people dream entirely in black and white.
  2. Two thirds of a cat’s life is spent asleep.

  3. Humans spend 1/3 of their life sleeping.

  4. The sensation of falling when half asleep and jerking yourself awake is called ‘hypnic jerks’.
  5.  Sleep deprivation will kill you more quickly than food deprivation.

We hugely underestimated the importance of sleep and our health. If you’re finding yourself always reaching for sugary snacks in the afternoon and late at night even if you are no longer restricting foods, your body might simply be trying to compensate for a lack of energy from sleep. 

Moral of the story, go to sleep gorgeous!

Did you know? Your brain is a muscle and burns calories to think.

You chugging coffee all day in attempt to skip breakfast means you're starving your brain of the essential energy and nutrients it needs. AKA. Your brain will not be properly functioning on the Zoom meeting with your boss when you've only had coffee to drink.

So even if you ate a lot last night. Eat breakfast. When you delay eating until you're starving it perpetuates the binging/overeating cycle. This is because your brain will be trying to get your energy levels back up for survival. Less coffee, more breakfast.

Well ask yourself:

Am I exercising because I love my body? (Want to feel good)

Or out of hate (punishment, compensate, fear of weight change)

Exercise to feel good.

Rest to feel good.

Always ask, am I doing this out of love or hate?

Contrary to popular belief (as in what the media and diet culture will tell you) your worth actually has nothing to do with your body size.

Don’t let them fool you into thinking it is. It’s a brilliant marketing scheme they have going. They have you always thinking you’re not enough, so that you continue to buy more. More weight loss plans, workout routines, diet pills, super foods,etc. They tell you that you have a problem and then try to sell you the solution. But here is what they won’t tell you.

You are already worthy.

You are already enough.

And you always were.

You are worthy by simply breathing.

Don’t ever forget that.
