TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

What are holding onto in your wardrobe that needs to go?

Are you guilty of holding onto clothes that are too small for them in hopes that one day you will fit into them again??  Be honest, how do you feel when you look at those clothes that are too small?

Do you feel empowered and like you want to make a change in your life? Or do you feel disempowered? Likely the latter. My tip to you is to donate your clothes that no longer fit. Don't keep them around letting them bully you and tell you what to do and how to feel. Wear the clothes that make you feel good, confident and ready to take on the world.

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

The only constant in life is change. Remaining attached to our body size is setting ourselves up for failure. Our body is changing and will change regardless of how hard we might fight it. We must build our worth outside of our appearance or risk feeling eternally broke. What can that look like for you?

Repeat after me: I am looking for ways to love and accept myself as I am. I do not need to change to be worthy.

You weren’t born hating your body. You learned it. Which means it can also be unlearned. You will never shame yourself to a body that you love.

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Emotions are data points. They tell us what are values are. What we care about. What are the unhealed parts of ourselves. BUT only if we name them and feel them to heal them. We live in a society built off “positive vibes only”, never letting ourselves be sad or really feel anything.

We numb, we avoid, we eat and then feel disgusted with ourselves. And we repeat the cycle. If we want to feel empowered in our life we have to give permission to ourselves to feel ALL of our emotions, not just the positive ones.

Up to 98 percent of women have cellulite. It has nothing to do with body fat percentage. It does have to do with genetics. Fact. No one ever died of cellulite and it doesn’t have a direct correlation with any underlying disease. Harmless skin dimples is all it is. Celebrate that cute cellulite girl!!

Whatever we say becomes a blueprint. Meaning that our brain is always looking for clues as to what is important and relevant information. It determines what it should focus on by zeroing in on how our language is. If we are always saying things like: “I hate my body, I am always out of control with my eating..” Then that is essentially what will happen. Get intentional with how you speak to yourself.

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

When we were kids food was just food. We didn’t use it as an emotional crutch or to punish or deprive ourselves. How can you get back to eating and enjoying food like you did when you were a kid? How can you make food fun? What was a favorite meal or snack you’d have growing up? Why not have that this week!

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Intuitive eating isn’t a fad or a diet, it’s our bodies default state. We were born knowing how to eat intuitively but many of us lost touch with our bodies cues when we were told we couldn’t trust our own cravings, hunger and fullness. We were taught to demonize food and our body, both of which are in fact, morally neutral. What will you do today to stop from demonizing food and your body?
