TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Intuitive eating isn’t a fad or a diet, it’s our bodies default state. We were born knowing how to eat intuitively but many of us lost touch with our bodies cues when we were told we couldn’t trust our own cravings, hunger and fullness. We were taught to demonize food and our body, both of which are in fact, morally neutral. What will you do today to stop from demonizing food and your body?

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

We are a product of our environment. How much does your virtual environment impact how you feel about yourself? We might think that seeing people on social media with the ‘perfect body’ is inspiring us...

But studies have shown that this actually drives feelings of shame and disconnection which leads to self-soothing often through detrimental coping mechanisms. Be intentional with your social media feed. Use the Marie Kondo method and unfollow anyone who does not truly bring you joy!

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Repeat after me: I am no longer available for anything other than radical self-love. I reject the societal construct that I am not enough as I am. I choose to stop playing it safe and start living big. How have you been playing it safe in your life?

TODAY'S  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

When we diet our body thinks that we are sick. It cannot understand why we would choose to voluntarily restrict food. What we think is self-sabotage is actually self-protection. Our bodies' survival instincts kick in getting us to eat following any period of restriction. Without this fail safe mechanism, we would starve. Remember, our body is on our side.
